The IPA, the only official recognised Professional body for small table pool, is delighted to announce the creation of new IPA World League, which will run across various countries around the world.
Each Nation will run their own series of events, starting in 2023, and the two top-ranked players at the end of the series will each receive a wild card entry into the IPA Professional events for the 2024 IPA Tour season.
We are also delighted to reveal that ‘IPA South Africa’ is officially launched today – the first of many countries who are looking to work closely with the IPA, and give their players the opportunity to compete against the very best.
IPA Chairman Kevin Barton commented “The IPA World Leagues are the next step on the IPA journey, a journey that has already seen us deliver so much. We know that there is incredible talent in huge numbers in countries outside of the UK – South Africa and Zambia to name just two – and we want to give them the opportunity to compete at the highest levels, and to showcase their talent to our huge audience around the world. Blackball is truly global, bigger than most of us realise, and we are leading the way in collaboration with our global Blackball colleagues to enhance the sport, and to increase the credibility of the Professional set up so that is not just about UK based players. We welcome South Africa as one of the pioneers of the new IPA World League, and look forward to other Nations coming onboard in the very near future”
