The IPA is today sadly announcing the postponement of the flagship event on the pool calendar – the 2021 World Championships, which were due to take place from the 15th-21st February 2021.
Due to the current uncertainty regarding covid, the restrictions that are still in place nationwide and likely to be so for several months, and with the health and safety of our players, officials and spectators our highest priority, it is simply not safe enough to stage an event of this magnitude at this time.
Players and fans alike will be delighted to know that plans are now well underway to reschedule the event, and details will be announced in due course.
Whilst it is very disappointing to have to postpone the event, it is the only sensible option available at this time.
