IPA Statement

2020/2021 Events

After careful consideration of the current situation, and with the continued uncertainty in the UK regarding Covid 19, the IPA has decided to postpone all of its remaining events for 2020.

In coming to our decision, our principle concern is the safety of all our players, staff and spectators, and we do not feel we can guarantee this at the present time.

It is our intention to “Lift and shift” 2020 into 2021 – this includes the Champions Cup in addition to the Tour events. Any 2020 Tour players who are unable to make the Tour for 2021, and have paid their Tour fees, should contact the IPA Secretary Marc Pickworth at secretary@ipapool.com.

This is naturally a huge disappointment to us all, however it makes us more determined to make 2021 even bigger and better than previous years, and we are 100% confident that this will be the case. The Tour dates for 2021 will be announced later this week, which includes increased prize monies and also a whopping £7k for the Grand Final Tour winner.

We will also be announcing details of two new, exciting partnerships that will cement the IPA as THE place to play pool as we move forward into 2021 and beyond.

The next IPA event will be the World Championships, which takes place from the 16th-21st February 2021 so watch this space for entry details.

Tour Fees

In effect, the 2021 season will be 6 Tours (1 in 2020 and 5 in 2021). Any player for example who has paid all their Tour fees in 2020, and is taking part in 2021, would in effect only have to pay 1/5th Tour fees for 2021, which equates to £100 for an Amateur, or £190 for a Professional player.

Refunds

For players who have paid fees for more than 1 Tour event and are seeking a refund, please contact Marc at the above email to discuss.

Please note: any player who is issued a refund will not be eligible to participate in any of the 2021 Tour events
