First memory of playing pool – Playing in the local youth club when I was younger and then the person who ran the club got me involved playing for the West Midlands Junior County Team. When I was 12 I qualified for the England Junior Team and it all started from there.Who inspired you to play pool – I never really felt inspired by anyone to play pool, it was just something I got into at a young age and has I started doing well in local pub leagues and Junior County, I started entering more tournaments.

Best victories and Achievements – My best victory was winning the World Masters in 2011 as this had the majority of the best players and professionals in the tournament from all over the world, this was before the divide in the sport so to win this tournament was a special achievement for me. Also winning the EPT Midlands Open (American 8 Ball) was a big achievement for me as the standard of players at the event was really high, I had a really tough draw and to beat Nick Van Den Berg in the final who at the time was European Number 1 was a big step forward in my career. Also to become the number 1 Ranked IPA Tour Player has been a big achievement for me due to the high standard of the tour.
Ambitions in the sport: To become IPA World Champion and continue to improve my game and win big events.
Why the IPA – The IPA Tour has the best rules and the players play all their matches on the best equipment. The IPA has a great team in place and the tour is improving all the time. The IPA are looking to move the sport forward to a global audience with the introduction of HD Quality Streaming, World Series Events and Coral Betting. In my opinion Its the only place to play pool!
Advice to any up and coming players: Enter as many tournaments as possible and try to practice with the best players you can to help improve your game to the next level.
