The IPA to be broadcasted live
The IPA – the officially recognised Professional body for pool, is delighted to announce that its upcoming Tour event at Coventry (3rd – 5th August) will be aired live by the BBC. Utilising their global-leading sports website, which is accessed by millions of sports fans worldwide, the BBC will be featuring all three days of the upcoming event at Coventry via live links on the BBC Sport homepage.
This unprecedented development is a true first for the IPA, 8-ball pool, and blackball, and will ensure the Professional stars and the game we all love will be available to be viewed by a whole new audience.
IPA Chairman Kevin Barton commented “Working with a brand as huge and as influential as the BBC is a major breakthrough for the IPA, and demonstrates that the gradual rebuilding of the sport that we have led over the last few years is now beginning to pay dividends. We look forward to working with the BBC.”
