IPA – The success story of the summer

The IPA is delighted to announce that the BBC will be broadcasting all the five IPA Tour events for 2019, via its sports website, App and iPlayer.
Following on from the huge audience numbers for the final two Tours that were shown in 2018, which were labelled the “success story of the summer” by the BBC, contracts have been agreed to confirm the extension into 2019.

For all the Tour events, both Saturdays and Sundays will be shown on what is one of the busiest sport websites in the world, which is fantastic news for all pool fans from around the world.

IPA Chairman Kevin Barton commented “This is of course superb news for the IPA, its players and our fans around the world. To have the support of the BBC – a world renowned broadcaster, demonstrates the great progress the IPA has made over the last few years and continues to make going forward. Not only did we have unprecedented audiences watching on the BBC this year, they were also watching for long periods of time, again illustrating the popularity and watchability of our sport. We look forward to another successful year working with the BBC and can’t wait to get started in February 2019”.

The next IPA Tour is at Belfast from the 22nd – 24th February at the Clayton Hotel and entry is free for all spectators.
