Freesports extends Live coverage of World Championships
The IPA is delighted to announce the extended live coverage of its upcoming flagship event – the 2019 World Championships.
Following on from the success of the live pool shown exclusively on Freesports in 2018, which included the World Championships, the Champions Cup, Premier League and Masters events, we can reveal that all 6 days of the 2019 World Championships will be shown live on Freesports, which starts on Tuesday 5th February and concludes on the 10th February.
This enhanced and extended coverage will give the many new and existing pool fans the opportunity to not only view the top IPA Professional players, but some of the great players who are bursting through the Amateur ranks whose focus are set on achieving professional status at the end of the year.
IPA Secretary Marc Pickworth said “It is another step forward for the IPA and its stars with the unprecedented live coverage that Freesports are showcasing. The competition for the Professional spots has never been greater and the fans will get to see some of the stars of the future taking part in the ‘must win’ event of the year, as well as the “names” who are becoming more familiar to the TV audience. The IPA World Championships is still a relatively new competition but it is now firmly established as the most prestigious event on the pool calendar”.
The IPA Professional World Championships take place at the Bradford Hotel from the 5th-10th February 2019 and spectator entry is free for all sessions.
