The IPA is delighted to announce the details of the 2021 World Championships, which will be taking place from the 15th - 21st February, at the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford.
Jon McAllister will be the defending Champion after coming through the toughest field ever assembled at a World Championships earlier this year - can he be the first player to successfully defend the title - there will certainly be a queue of talented players looking to make sure he doesn’t.
The 1st prize of £10,000 will again be on offer to the winner of the main event, and prize monies for the additional events that take place during the week, in total, have been increased from 2020. Entry fees have remained as per 2020 and hotel costs have been reduced from last year.
In more great news, the final four days of the event will be featured on the BBC Sport website, ensuring the stars of the IPA are able to display their incredible talents to the sport’s biggest audience.
IPA Chairman Kevin Barton added “ First of all it is fantastic news that we can get the IPA events underway after the terrible situation we have all found ourselves in this year, and what better way to start than with the biggest event of them all - the World Championships. There’s no doubt it’s the toughest event to win - as it should be - and as a pool fan, I can’t wait to see the drama unfold for the first time on the BBC Sport website, which is a fantastic coup for the IPA and great news for all the players.”
